DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

During a migration in the SAS Deployment Wizard, the SAS Web Infrastructure Platform Data Server might not start. When this failure occurs, the webinfpltfm_startServer_YYYY-MM-DD-HH.MM.SS.log file shows the following message in the [ImportDatabase] section.

[ImportDatabase] The ' characters around the executable and arguments are
[ImportDatabase] not part of the command.
[ImportDatabase] Output redirected to property: com.sas.smu.webinfpltfm.database.import.output
[ImportDatabase] Using input "-databaseUserPassword password"
[ImportDatabase] Setting environment variable: _BPX_SHAREAS=NO

In addition, the webinfpltfm_ImportDatabase.log file contains the following error message:

2014-01-10 04:20:35,502 SQLException[Error code=0][SQLState=23505] processing table sas_keygen
org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint "sas_keygen_pk"
  Detail: Key (identifier_cd)=(sasapp/alerttype) already exists.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

To resolve this issue:

  1. Apply the hot fix from the Hot Fix tab.
  2. Drop the SAS Shared Services database from the PostgreSQL database management system (DBMS) by submitting the following command:
    SASHOME/SASWebInfrastructurePlatformDataServer/9.4/bin/dropdb --host=your-host-machine --port=9432 --username=DBMS-owner -i SharedServices

Note: You will be prompted for the DBMS owner's password.

  3. Delete everything except the repository.xml file in the SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/AppData/SASContentServer/Repository directory.
  4. Rerun the SAS Deployment Wizard migration.
